Hanging it's rose on the crown of my will,
diseased by it's kingdom, in need of its kill.
Desire will fade like the shimmer of metal
effortlessly pulled
like little rose petals.
Ash trickles down to the garden below.
Only to lust for what once it was.
Ash trickles down, onto my rose
Suffocating it's love
until the wind blows.

Excellent medieval folk, IGR, & those with ears to hear. I love the sense of mysticism and deep, introspective ponder this album conveys, & the honest down-to-earth folky lyrics. Simply wonderful yet soulfully rich. Highlights for me are tracks 2, 5, 6, & 12. IGR truly capture what I feel is an authentic sense of a medieval bard at a woodland rill pondering the mysteries of life. Highly recommended. 8.5+/10. Alrihkh
Stark, folk-derived songs built on brittle acoustic guitars that conjure the image of a fire burning in the distance on a dark night. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 8, 2022
It’s easy to get lost inside the rippling synths and electronic textures on the latest from Aisle Knot, a feast for the ears. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 8, 2021
The Brooklyn group Aisle Knot writes hushed, mysterious songs that are charmingly rickety and grounded in surefooted melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable May 22, 2021
